Are you passionate about the environment, communications and Europe? Interested in the relationbetween industry and other stakeholders engaged in promoting and supporting Europe’s circular economy? Want to gain a unique learning experience at the heart of a European sustainability programme?

VinylPlus is looking for a Communications Intern for a 6-month paid internship to support (digital) communications activities. The internship is due to start as soon as possible in Brussels.

Requirements

  • A degree in Communications, Journalism or Humanities and/or prior experience in communications in an association, an agency, a trade organisation or an NGO

  • Excellent spoken and written English. Another EU language is an asset (French, German).

  • Strong IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, database)

  • Self-motivated, well organised, and able to work efficiently and autonomously

  • Team player

  • Knowledgeable in HTML and CMS such as WordPress

  • Social media knowledge and experience

  • Understanding of the EU policy and decision making processes is an asset

  • Experienced user of Adobe InDesign, knowledge of Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator a plus.

  • Eligibility to work in the EU is a must

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the general distribution of press releases and media alerts

  • Assist in modifying and uploading website content

  • Draft press releases, news stories for the website, newsletters and content for social media

    platforms

  • Attending team meetings and brainstorming sessions

  • Assisting in event organisation and attending them in a professional capacity

  • Scouting for new ideas, directions and tools for communication activities

  • General support to the Team
