Future of PVC 2026 Highlights Innovation Across the PVC Value Chain – Next Conference Announced for November
More than 100 participants from across the PVC value chain gathered in Mainz on 11–12 March for Future of PVC 2026, Europe’s leading conference on circular PVC, innovation and digitalisation.
Co-produced by VinylPlus® and Orbimind, the conference brought together resin producers, compounders, converters, additive suppliers, recyclers, machinery manufacturers and technology providers for two days of presentations, technical exchange and networking.
The programme reflected the remarkable diversity of PVC applications, with discussions covering sectors such as construction, automotive, coated fabrics, pipes and window profiles, as well as healthcare and other critical uses.
A central theme throughout the conference was innovation in materials and formulations. Presentations explored developments in additives and compounding technologies, including work on more sustainable flame-retardant systems, stabilisers and plasticisers designed to enhance performance, safety and circularity.
Speakers also highlighted progress in integrating recycled PVC into new compounds, improving processing stability and using digital tools and AI to optimise manufacturing processes.
The conference further provided valuable insights into global PVC market dynamics, supply chains and regulatory developments, underlining the importance of maintaining a competitive and innovative PVC industry in Europe.
Following the strong participation and discussions in Mainz, the next VinylPlus/Orbimind conference will take place in Prague, Czech Republic, in November 2026, continuing to provide a key platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange across the European PVC value chain.
